ABOUT ME
Photographer: Isaac Stackell
Isaac Stackell is Montclair resident since 2002, originally from Brooklyn. From an early age, his interests have been photography, writing, theater, and advertising. As a commercial and portrait photographer he learned lighting, color relationships, composition, Photoshop and printing on-the-job, and holds no formal degrees in photography. His work appears on the B&H Photo and Gradus Group websites, in dozens of catalogs, trade publications, textbooks and greeting cards. His personal work ranges from straightforward landscapes, to whimsical portraits and wordplay images, to Community Theater. He prefers a crisp and realistic image, but will veer occasionally in the blurred and surreal. Either way, he “sees” photographs – they call to him, and taunt him if he is rushed and cannot stop to capture them. But, he strives to return, in the right light, in the right moment.
